WALTER KLINGER – MANAGING PARTNER, CPM

Founder and managing partner, Walter Klinger has more than 40 years of experience managing and operating commercial, residential, condominiums and other types of properties. He is a licensed real estate broker in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia and earned his CPM designation (1987) from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Walter is active in local IREM chapter #92 and served as the chapter president in 2001.

For over 10 years, he was Vice President of Star Associates, a property management firm in Denver, Colorado which managed HUD / Foreclosed Properties, both residential and commercial and was appointed as the FDIC receiver for Residential and Commercial Properties located in Colorado, Kansas, Nevada, New Mexico and Wyoming.

In 1995, he joined the Property Management Association (PMA) and the same year received a PMA scholarship award honoring his efforts in serving member needs. After serving on several committees and the board of directors for 11 years with the organization, PMA elected Klinger to lead the Association as President in 2014.

From 1995 to 2004 Klinger has held several positions as a regional property manager for Polinger, Shannon & Luchs, Gateway Management/TM Associates Inc.

From 2004 to 2012, Klinger was Senior Property Manager at Cafritz Company / Borger Management in Washington, DC, where he was the property manager for over 11 multi-family properties.

In 2011, Klinger founded BGW Management along with his daughter, Gail Hoffman, Chief Financial Officer, CPA, based out of New York.

In May 2012, Klinger’s role was transitioned to Asset Manager and Independent Consultant to Calvin Cafritz Enterprises.

In 2016, Klinger joined Polinger Company as a Property Manager.
